Exhausted but mostly cheery

So, this weekend was the last MCR show I get to see this tour. Friday is their last tour date and then they are taking some time off and starting work on a new album. Columbus was not as great as the other two shows, but it was still a good time. We got to meet Drive By again, so that was cool. I bought a tshirt and had them sign it :)

But so I got home on Monday at like 6:30 pm and then went to see Iron Man at 9:30 (which is awesome btw), so I definitely was not at 100% on Tuesday. Thankfully no one took my May term class, so I didn't have to teach. I was sort of ready for the class, I could have made it work, but at the same time, I'm glad not to be teaching right now. I'd rather focus on getting ready for teaching Rainbow Voices and working with Freshmen Seminar groups. I think it's a better use of my time. I have most of the books picked for Rainbow Voices, but I need to really get started working on the syllabus and on assignments and such. I suspect teaching a 3-hour course is going to be harder to prepare for than teaching a 1-hour.

In other life news, Dad's latest PET scans showed that the cancer is still confined to his neck and that it has gotten smaller. So YAY for that! Continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers if you are so inclined.

Peace!
