when in chinatown...

Today I am a little photo drunk. I’m gonna let many of my photos do the talking this Friday. There exists a few places in Singapore where one gets away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I love that much. One such place is Haji Lane. Another of my favourite is Ann Siang Hill and Club Street.

Unlike Haji Lane, Ann Siang Hill only has a few clothing shops and they aren’t impressive. But my favourite bookshop, BooksActually is housed there right along Club Street. I love and enjoy the smell of books, old things and a mix of quirky stuff.

I enjoyed lunch with my dear friend Debra over at Jerry’s BBQ and Grill and cake at K-Ki which also houses The Little Drom Store. We had the heartiest laugh which resulted in plenty of snorting from me. I do enjoy being in the company of someone I feel comfortable with. Silence is never awkward. If there ever is.

All I had to show from my trip there are a bunch of pencils and a book. I know, I can quite a bookworm sometimes.

On a side note, I was thinking the other day about what it was that I was doing with my blog. As a person, I’m a big believer of being an all rounder. I would never just blog about fashion. Sure, I love clothes, I love shopping but I also love learning, I love writing, I love to study (nerd nerd!), I love photography, I love cooking and baking, I love reading, I love innovative quirky things, I love music, I love teaching and mostly I love parenting. These were the things I’d like reflected on my blog. A reflection of me. My online diary so that one day my girls will know what their mum was like and what I wrote and felt about them.

Just thinking aloud. Don’t mind me.

Anyway, you all have an enjoyable Friday and as always a wonderful weekend up ahead!
