In which I am shocked at the sheep mentality at websites
I think I may be naive. Seriously. Okay, the blog that koolaidmom11 took a little umbridge at is a bag of OMG
The owner wrote an blog on the mother who took her kids toys and sold them on eBay - after they destroyed her bathtub.
I'm sorry, but I say fair play. She more than likely told them not to repeatedly (at least I hope so) and they didn't she obviously threatened them with it (just as my mum threatened to call social services on my ass if I didn't stop screaming blue murder out the windows at bed time - I didn't, she did!) I say 90% of parenting is follow through - not just with punishment but everything else - but I could be talking out of my ARSE since I have NONE myself (yet!)
But looking at the website and I see mum after mum saying this mother went too far. There is not one dissenting voice there, and that just makes me think of a stagnant, boring and lacking in growth - certainly people like to feel as one of the crowd, but discourse is not agreement!
I am soo glad that I am a member of many sites that AREN'T monotonous in content or membership!
