I love how Bush came to Norfolk today and there were like fifty million fliers yesterday all over school advertising a protest. I think to myself, what is this going to help??
The fliers are all "this is our chance to make an impact and stop the war and show him what we think about him"...
People, I think Dubya knows that there are a lot of you out there that hate his guts. And we all want this war to end.
But holding up a sign and chanting is not going to make Bush stop and think. I mean....what did they honestly think was gonna happen? The President was gonna see how unhappy Norfolk was and think "Hmm....okay i pissed them off, it's time to end it. Call off the war!!!"
No.
Standing in 40 degree, rainy weather in front of Chrysler Hall at 9am with a bunch of psychos who may or may not decide to pull a gun in hopes of assassination is not my idea of Friday morning fun.
In fact, I would much rather be sitting in my 9am class, almost falling asleep in the warm building.
Which is exactly what I did.
