Be Blue

Oct 06, 2004 18:55

I made my way through the hallways of Wolfram & Hart and came to what almost looked like Angel's old office, only it was different. This must be Eve's office. I started to look around, trying to find something that would explain what had happened to L.A. Everything here was well organized. There was and intersting looking object on the wall, a ( Read more... )

A good dusting gets you no where. angelbuffy October 6 2004, 20:44:34 UTC
I looked at the piles of dust beside me. No help what-so-ever. Except for the verification. Thanks Guys. Something that I had already figured out. I was angry, frustrated, and felt helpless. I needed to help Angel, but the fact that it was like finding a needle in a haystack.. Scratch that. A needle in 7 hay bails, was getting me overwhelmed. I didn't know why I hadn't started crying yet. I should. My source has the power to teleport me in an alleyway, every time I walk in there...maybe if I had been a little less pushy, I could find some sort of information. But.. Oh God, I even wondered how long he had been there. when he disappeared? While I was off in Rome, enjoying R&R Angel was needing my help, and Here I was selfish and angry that he had called me ( ... )

My new power had left me with the strangest sensation, and as time passed, I could feel that sensation melting away.

I needed to find the others... I thought of Cordelia. Perhaps she found something of importance. I scanned the premises, but she was not here. It was at that moment that I spotted a young woman coming out of the alley, and she didn't look like a beggar or a street prostitute. She was just another girl in this vast city.

What would someone of her demeanor be doing in such a place?I could see that she had seen me and was trying to articulate an excuse. I had no time for this insignificant being. As she approached I put on the droning smile that the shell wore and tried to walk past her. It was then that I felt my form alter it self for a brief moment...only a moment. What an unpleasant consequense to my new power ( ... )

The girl smiled at me, looking a bit curious. The back of my mind was trying to think of something that would make her believe me...the other half really didn't care. So I almost let it go, and walked the other way, toward Wolfram and Hart, if it hadn't been for the flash of a completely different persona from the girl. I was either insane, or she had changed into something different.. Something blue. I looked at her again, questionably, then she spoke to me like nothing happened. I knew I wasn't crazy..because it happened a second time.

"Hi ya! Are you alright there?" I looked at her strangely. At this point I was completely confused and not really in the mood to make small talk. I wanted answers, and this girl, I had a feeling didn't posess them. She looked like a passerby, all except for the blue thing. So after all, Maybe she did have answers ( ... )

"I'm fine..thanks. So how's that split personality...or form working for you?"

I cocked my head at that remark and narrowed my eyes. So she had seen my form flicker. No matter, this human was of no importance. I would have left her there, but then she made a remark that made me think...

"So what's your connection to Wolfram and Hart?"

Another lawyer? And she assumes I work for Wolfram & Hart. I couldn't affor to have someone recognize me in this shell, recognize the connection I previously had with this place. I was growing weary of this lawfirm and everyone that worked there. And I did not need another pesky lawyer trying to devastate my plans and inform Eve that they had seen me. Even if they were young and stupid as this one appeared to be ( ... )

"Why. What is it that you want from me."

"I need your help." She looked at me in confusion.

"I need some one that...I can trust. You are the only one that can help me find Angel."

I could tell by the way she looked at me that she was suprised at my answer. She looked tired. But above all she looked determined to find out what had happened. We both seeked the same answers. Perhaps she knew more than I. After all, why else would she be here at Wolfram & Hart?

We needed to get out of this place. I was sure that Lilah & Lindsey were out of their cell by now. I decided to revert back to the shell's form. I would attract less attention in this form. I let great my form melt away, and let the shell's form take its course.

"We need to get out of this place. There are too many enemies that could recognize us."

"I need your help."

Now what the hell did she want from me? She was way stronger than me, and she could change form. I was completely confused.

I need some one that...I can trust. You are the only one that can help me find Angel."

Angel? She did have the answers. Suddenly the pain that I felt went away, because she knew something..she knew his name, and wasn't happy he was gone. That is at least a small step.

"Angel? You're looking for him?" My voice was somewhat higher than monotone, but monotone was what I was going for.

I still wasn't sure to trust her. But she stopped fighting, and that's gotta count for something.

"We need to get out of this place. There are too many enemies that could recognize us."She was right. They might not be able to recognize her, but after my little stunt of getting transferred from Wolfram and Hart to an alley way...I think they would keep an eye on me. After all we did make a lot of noise here..and I would be easy to spot, with all the portrait of my ass being kicked. My face showed ( ... )

"You sure as hell have a mean punch on you."

Mortals bruise so easily. This one, however, seemed to be recovering rapidly. And if she was in any pain, she wasn't showing it. We left Wolfram & Hart and I felt a surge of relief, a new emotion. I frowned. It disturbed me that I had been made to feel emotions.

As we walked, Buffy said that she and her friends were staying at a Hotel here in L.A., "...the Hyatt Regional..." As soon as she said that, I informed her that Wolfram & Hart knew of their whereabouts, that I had seen it while looking through Eve's office. I told her that they would not be safe there ( ... )
