Buffy had just strolled into the building. She had a starbucks coffee in one hand. The poor girl was half asleep. She hadn't really gotten any since she made the big move to LA. Between Eliot, Spike, and her reoccuring vision she just couldn't seem to lay her head down to rest at night. Buffy's lips parted for a slight yawn, yep. It was too early

When Cordy heard the knock, she was almost sure it would be Fred, and that thought drove her to look around her office for a decent place to hide. Her desk was the only possibility, really. Why hadn't she gotten a secret passage or something installed when she was having so much fun with the corporate credit card?
But hiding under her desk was just tacky, and Fred was a lot smarter than that.
She sat up on the couch and tried to straighten her hair, just in case it was anyone other than Fred, who had been the one to walk in on her lying on her desk and looking very out of sorts. But for anyone else, she still had her dignity, so she smoothed her hair down and straightened her clothes.
Resigning herself to her fate, she called out, "Come on in."
Buffy stood there and waited until she was invited in. She half turned to walk away before she heard Cordy's voice coming from the other side of the door. To do it, or not to do it. That was the question. Buffy had been making all sorts of right and amends around here lately. Why stop now? Her hand moved to the door knob and twisted it, slowly opening the door. First she poked her head in and then she proceeded to walk in.
"I thought I heard your voice."
Yep, Buffy was back. Cordelia would never get away from her no matter how many miles away they were apart. Their enemy-ship was just always ment to be. Maybe Cordelia had changed, if Buffy could, why couldn't she? Buffy walked up to the vacant chair across from Cordelia and placed a hand on the back rest.
In all honesty, Cordy knew, if she thought about it, that she should have expected Buffy to show up sooner or later. After all, what was an Apocalypse without Buffy Summers? The Slayer had been known to be the leader of the forces of good, so of course she would come in for this one. But Cordy had been so distracted by everything, it had never really occurred to her to worry about the other woman
