yuletide 2013 letter
Dear yuletide author,
First of all, thank you in advance for your fic. I'm thrilled to see what you come up with. As far as my general tastes go, I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to fic. I prefer shippy fic (het, slash, femslash - it's all good) and if we're being more specific on that end, I like get together fics as opposed to established relationships. I do enjoy gen fic as well though. Especially case fics or adventures. Some of my favorite stories center around traveling - cross-country roadtrips, maps, hotels/motels, sight-seeing, etc. Also, you have free range on tone - I like my angst just as much as my fluff. And I'm open to all ratings.
As for what I don't like, I'm not big on crack fic. I also don't like graphic depictions of violence, rape/non-con, torture, de-aging, kid fic and genderswap. That being said, some of my fandom choices (i.e. Dexter and Revolution) are violent in nature so I understand if you have to make refererences to violence.
Fandoms
Revolution (Miles Matheson, Rachel Matheson, Charlie Matheson, Bass Monroe): I love the dynamic that exists between all four of these characters. It's my personal canon that Miles is really Charlie's father and I've always been interested in what that reveal might be like so if you believe that's the case too and would want to write about it, I'd love to read it. Otherwise, right now, I'm really intrigued by the relationship developing between Charlie and Monroe, as their chemistry is kind of off the charts. And I've always shipped any variation of Rachel/Miles/Monroe - so backstory for any part of that triangle is welcome as well.
Dexter (Dexter Morgan, Debra Morgan): Please fix the series finale. I thought I was okay with how everything ended and then I woke up three days later and thought, no, just no. I'd love to read something where Deb lives relatively happily ever after. I say relatively because...well it's Dexter and I'd prefer it to be realistic. (Note: I think I was the only one, but I liked her with Quinn so if it involves him I'd be happy).
Grimm (Nick Burkhardt, Monroe): Anything involving Nick/Monroe - either shippy or gen. I especially like case fic involving them. Also I know she wasn't an option, but I have major love for Adalind and Nick/Adalind so that's cool too. Really just anything with Nick being his weirdly charming self is much obliged.
Sleepy Hollow (Abbie Mills, Ichabod Crane, Jennifer Mills): Anything involving Ichabod clashing with the modern world would be lovely, as those are my favorite moments in the show. Abbie/Ichabod is my OTP for this show, whether it is romantic or not, I just adore them together. If you happen to throw in some Jennifer playing subtle matchmaker for her sister, that would be lovely.
Graceland (Paul Briggs, Mike Warren, Charlie DeMarco): There is a severe lack of Graceland fic, especially Paul/Mike fic. But actually I would take any combination of Paul/Mike/Charlie, especially Mike/Charlie, because again, there's a serious lack of fic for them. Above all though, I just want to see Paul + Mike interacting. And if Charlie is there too that would be great.
