It sounds like everyone had a great time at the Hallowe'en Ball. It almost makes me wish that they'd had more balls when I was at school. The Yule Ball was so amazing...too bad so much has changed since then. About the only thing that hasn't, apparently, are the creepy Slytherin couples that happen because of it. There was the whole Montague thing after the Yule Ball, that got pretty messy. (Their parents were so upset, I remember the Howlers. Did that curse ever get reversed?) But at least he and Julie weren't related. Ugh, it's just another reason why Slytherins are disgusting. I shouldn't even waste journal space talking about them.
I'm really sick of Madam Puddifoot's. The confetti gets everywhere. Plus, the hours are really terrible, and she's pretty inflexible about it. I don't have enough time at night for -- well. I guess I shouldn't mention that here. I did get the night off for the Quidditch match, yes! Arrows versus Portree -- Celeste and I'll be cheering for you, Roger! Don't embarrass yourself!
Oh, and Goldstein, I checked and found out that Celeste can come as long as I get a special ID badge for her. I can't believe there's such security at regular season Quidditch games now, but I guess you can't be too careful nowadays. As long as it doesn't interfere with watching the game, I don't mind!
