Yikes!  How is it September already?  I used to think older people were crazy when they said time went faster as you got older (Really, grownups? Isn't time a universal constant? was my snippy internal monologue), but the older I've gotten, the more it seems true

I highly suggest any of A. Lee Martinez' books - but my favorites are: Divine Misfortune, The Automatic Detective, and A Nameless Witch.

If you haven't read any of marthawells books, try "Death of the Necromancer" (adult, alt-universe, thief with a heart of gold), or "Emilie and the Hollow World" (ya, adventure, with no goopy romance)

I also really liked The Magicians and Mrs Quent (manners and magic!), Scoundrels (Han Solo and Lando Calrissian star in 'Oceans 11' in space. Pre-rebellion.).
