Otaku through and through...

I'm very proud of myself tonight- I made onigiri by hand. This fulfills a strange otaku desire of mine to make real onigiri the right way, with salmon in the middle and furikake sprinkled on the outside, and a strip of seaweed along the bottom. My mom makes rice balls too, but she does it a lot differently- she adds rice vinegar to the rice, then puts dried pork, pickled radishes, and Spam (ew) in the middle.

I put them in my Hello Kitty bento box and I'm going to eat them tomorrow for lunch at school... Looking at that last sentence, I realize how Asian I really am ^^;

Ahh, I can't wait to go home tomorrow. I don't know what my family is planning for Thanksgiving, but it will nonetheless involve good food. YUM.
