So I had about two paychecks where I had some left over money after rent and bills.  I immediately put it away in a savings account so I can afford Comic con tickets when they come out and I spent some money on geeky shirts from Qweertee, TeeFury, and Threadless.  But now the state of Oregon feels that I owe them money and my student loans are coming up to bite me in the ass so I might be pretty strapped for a couple of months.  But hey, at least I have my Comic Con money stashed away. And no matter what happens, I'm probably going to spend a ton of cash at BathAndBodyWorks.com on Black Friday because it's a tradition and I don't care how poor I am I NEED TO TREAT MYSELF TO GIRLY FOO FOO GOOD SMELLY STUFF just once a year, ok?  And it's almost that time of year and I'm pretty excited.

*sigh*

Speaking of comic con, I really really really want to Cosplay as Deanerys.  Specifically, this costume outfit:

The problem is that I don't have the skill necessary for that top.  I just love how elegant the top is compared to the Dothraki garb under it.  And I could totally do the Dothraki stuff.  It's just a brown/leather skirt and boots (the boots would be a new challenge for me, but I could probably do it).  But that top?  I haven't cosplayed in almost a decade and when I did it was "ghetto cosplay" where I basically just found clothes in thrift stores and altered them to suit my needs.  I don't think there'd be anything remotely like that top anywhere and I'd have to start from scratch.

This another top of hers I love that puts to use the whole gorgeous top+Dothraki skirt thing.  I just really love the contrast.  Maybe this top would be easier, but it's still way beyond my skill level.

*sigh sigh sigh*

Anyway, if I get tickets I'm going to sit down and consider if putting this together is actually feasible.  I used to love to cosplay and I haven't in so very very long.  And Comic con is a very very special place so I feel like I just have to.  We'll see I guess.
