First class almost done

Feb 12, 2007 21:24

5.5 weeks went by so quickly. I'm ready for the next class to begin. Now that the orientation class is done, I can start actually getting into the classes for the bachelor's degree. Online learning is so different. I miss the people contact as you would get in a classroom, however, this format is much easier to work around job and family. It takes a lot more discipline to keep up with the homework and reading assignments. Because it's a condensed class, there are three assignments due each week and four days required to participate in discussions by commenting on other's posts. For the most part, I've gotten into a routine. What throws me is when the assignments from week to week are not due on the same day. Some days you get an extra day and others you don't. This past week has been the busiest. We've had four assignments due instead of the usual three. One was a critique on another student's market research. This week is only three days long and the career portfolio is due tomorrow. There will be no day off after this class as the next one starts Thursday. I've been checking each day on the next class to see if they've activated it so I can get a start on the reading assignment.
