Laptop Reset...I rather have Jarvis

So...my laptop finally reached the point of stupid where I had to keep restarting it almost every other hour or so.  The Recovery disk I ordered came in awhile back, so I decided to finally master restore my laptop.  Hole-e-crap...did that take a long time.  I think in total...it was like 3-4 hours of leaving the machine do it's thing.  I'm glad it worked, and now there is nothing on my laptop...no worries all the important stuff is saved on an external hardrive, and I have to re-install some programs, but only a select few this time.

Unfortunately, I lost my Microsoft Office since I was only able to DL it because a friend had an extra license and now I'm not sure if and how I can get it back...that's okay.  I can just DL Open Office and that'll work just fine for now [grins]...but all in all...at least my laptop works [thumbs up].  I also lost Autodesk Maya, Sony Vegas...and probably something else [glances around for software disks]  I'm not sure if I want to actually place that stuff back on my laptop actually...if I had a better laptop I'd be all for it, but this thing is almost 5 years old so...yeah.  Better for it to just do simple stuff for now.

EDIT:  Apparently something happened with Open Office and now it somehow got taken over by this other company so now it's a pain to try and install.  In fact, it keeps freezing...[kicks program] maybe I can find an older version of it on the web...
