The one thing I can say about Arizona in the summer (besides the regular 100+ degree weather) is that it is the time that little creepy crawlies come inside my house and freak me out. Just the past couple of days I found a big arse funnel spider dashing across my bedroom floor (met with an untimely end thanks to a video game box)........then there was the scorpion swimming in the dog dish (got flushed in the toilet filled with Clorox).....the BIGGER scorpion hanging out in the garage (escaped behind some boxes)....and a dead giant roach on the sidewalk.
I usually don't mind bugs too much...just the ones that are likely to kill you....[glares at scorpions]. It's unfortunate I live in the one part of Arizona that has the most intense scorpion problem...and let me tell you how hard these arachnids are to kill (bug spray just ticks them off). The owners before we moved in were messy people and didn't take care of these buggers before hand...so.....now I have to deal with them. I don't think the house is infested since my home is kept regularly neat and bug free, but it's enough for me to go "GYAAAAH" and have a blacklight.
