With Robin...buy a red and a green t-shirt. Cut off the sleeves of the red shirt. Buy green leggings and either buy a red, short skirt, or make sure the red shirt is long on you. Find green gloves (it's nearing winter, they've got to be somewhere) or buy green felt, trace your hand and hot-glue gun the sides together. You can also make a mask out of the felt or buy one somewhere.
Go to a thrift store and find a wide gold or yellow belt. For the R on the shit, either glue a felt R to it or paint it on. Or you could get a pin back at a craft store and glue it to the pin back and stick that on your shirt.
For the cape, go to the fabric store and buy however long you want of black and yellow material. Glue the edges together, so it's double-sided. If you want the collar, get some cardboard and fashion one, paint it black and glue it to the material. Viola.
Batgirl...relatively the same thing, except you'll need the cowl and different colors. Jedi...easy. A long neutral colored long-sleeve shirt, a neutral colored vest, some twine or a sash and a bathrobe with a hood. Take a paper towel tube, cut it to the right length, paint it silver and black and viola, you've got a lightsaber.
Hermione...depends on what version you want. Movie version required a black robe (again, a bathrobe should work just fine), a short skirt, a vest and a blouse. Probably can find those at at thrift store. Wand- I'd just go looking for a stick somewhere in a park or something. As for the bok version of the costume (which is described as just being a black robe), try to find a very plain version of a black dress- even better if it's tent like. And witch hats are easy to get.
It's way after the fact...but I ended up being a hippy. Normally, that wouldn't be my thing, but I saw the movie "Across the Universe" and the idea worked.
