A Trip Down Memory Lane Leads to a Bit of Advice

Feb 14, 2010 02:13

Grown-ups, when kids get ahold of potentially embarrassing words like "yeast infection" and "dutch oven", ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS. Preferably, with a degree of intelligence and tact. 'Cause if you don't, they will continue to ask other people and keep using the words to seek out their meaning. That is the nature of curiosity. It's all well and good not telling little ones things they aren't ready for, but don't pretend they haven't heard what they've heard.

That is all.
