days at the airport
On my last night in Sydney, I went to a bar to get a drink and then actually got to walk over the Sydney bridge to Luna park which is on the other side. The park wasn't open of course since it was about 1am when we finally got there..but it was cool to see since the lights were still lit up. The bridge and opera house looked pretty all lite up. I got some good pictures. It was hard at first but I managed to put the camera on a surface with the flash off to get a decent pic that isn't blurry.
Ever since Australia time 1045am on Saturday the 9th, I've been at the airport. Yet im now in California and its the 9th still at 4pm but if it was Sydney time it would be later. I have an 8 hour layover right now. Of course flying on international and domestic flights are a pain going into the US. I had an isle seat on the first flight to Fiji and sat next to a nice older couple. Then the next flight to CA(the longer flight out of all 4) I was sitting in the isle of a 4 seater and there was an Indian guy on the opposite side so I got to sprawl out. It was pretty cool that I didn't have to worry about sitting next to some old smelly fat guy. I had a hard time falling asleep though so they flight felt very long. We got stripped searched basically in Fiji. I felt violated because some Fijian woman grazed my boob. Lol. But it was pretty weird because they blocked off a section of seats and we had to get in line to go behind curtains to be searched and once we got searched we had to sit in the blocked off section and we couldn't leave the area unless we got searched again. So once we got to the LA airport we had to go through customs. Of course I got randomly picked to be searched AND also had to do a random questionnaire. I mean it took up some of my 8 hour layover but it still wasn't fun. Especially since I was talking with this one girl I met at the Fiji airport and got split up before I even knew her name to add her on Facebook or something since shes from Arizona. Oh well.
