Adventures in Queryland

If Adventures in Queryland was a book it would look something like this:

Write The Novel To End All Novels.
Glow proudly.
Revise madly.
Hate Book.
Revise again.
Find renewed love for some parts of Book, while cursing others.
Revise again.
Throw Book out window/across room/under bus (you get the idea).
Stew about how very much you hate Book.
Wait until no one's looking, pick Book up, dust it off and revise again until you're either happy with it or just can't stand to look at it anymore.
Send Book to betas or CPs.
Wait (hopefully finding another project to keep you busy).
Receive notes on Book.
Tear Book apart once again and put it back together.
Write up query letter.
Get anxious.
Research agents.
Get more anxious.
Send query letters.
Wait.
Wait.
Wait.
Rejection, but only one or two, not enough to get you down.
Wait.
Tear out hair waiting.
Then wait some more.
*here is where I am*

So far Adventures in Queryland sounds like an excruciating read.

To offset all this waiting, I've decided to NaNo! Yay! November is only a few short days away and I have about half my new project "GD" (formally "I-D"--rewriting it from scratch) plotted. There's a lot more work ahead of me, but I'm excited to get started. *peeks around corner* Is it November yet?

Anyone else NaNoing (NaNo-ing?) this year? I'd love some more writing partners--can't have enough of those! My id is angel28140.

plotting, announcements, nano, update, hard at work, questions, ya, challenges, new projects, writer, query, submissions, rejection, fun, writing
