Update
I think if I could have made a career out of being a professional student I would have. I just like being a student. I like learning and the pursuit of knowledge and all the research and studying that goes with it. Even after all my griping about not wanting this, I think I'm pretty flattered my company thought highly enough of me to send me to get my director's certification. They pay for my class and I get paid for a day of work when I go.I could run a department at this point, I just need to get a better understanding of all the paper work the state and the company requires. I could be part of the business world very easily. I like to wear dress suits and look professional, and I don't mind meetings and problem solving, plus I think I have pretty good people skills. I think I'll have an advantage as well, because few people in this class are as used to running and organizing large scale programs and events like I am.
The other bonus? Tonight I got to go out and buy awesome looking notebooks, binders, and other supplies. Look out world, Mary the student is back!
