It's definitely nice to see the Prince choosing to live in the Little Mermaid's world rather than forcing her to change her identity for him... and on the opposite side, it's nice to see Beauty accepting and rejoicing in the Beast's beastliness. XD

Yes, it's really fabulous, isn't it? All about women's choice, less about women sacrificing for men and more about them embracing what they want joyfully and lustfully.

And it may just be my interpretation of the video, but it's quite refreshing that, instead of being saddled with a marriage to a complete stranger, that the prince who comes to Sleeping Beauty might be there to fulfill her with friendship (the joys of having a gorgeous gay-guy-pal). XD

I definitely think you could go with that reading because the dynamic after Sleeping Beauty wakes up is very playful and potentially platonic. Not that romantic couples can't be playful, too.

My fairytale-fu isn't working right. Which fairytale is the chick at the dinner table?

Beauty! And instead of teaching the Beast manners and how to eat ~properly, she embraces the wild and chows down. Loved that moment in the vid when she bares her teeth and rips into the meat.

Thanks so much for posting this! I sat and watched this last night, just wonderful. I shall show it to my 12yr old daughter - I am sure she will appreciate the different approach to fairytales.
