A Missed Opportunity

Buffyfest conducted an interview with Jane Espenson about Season 8.  I... have a lot to say about it.  And yes, I still feel positive and hopeful for the conclusion of Season 8.  I'm still enjoying Season 8.  But this?  Yeah, there's still wankery going on that's making my feminism light up like a radioactive Christmas tree.

Although I am SO HAPPY that she's one of the writers for Torchwood S4! (S3 - 'Children of Earth' - was BLEAK AS HELL, but brilliant, and had TONS of brilliant women being awesome and absolutely as fallible as men, without any of the fail here. /end pimp)

I really wish you would get the chance to interview Jane. I don't think the interviewer REALLY missed the point in the way the question was framed.

I guess with Buffyfest, I just can't manage to bring up enough...anything for them. Their bias is so clear and it's ridic they get these interviews.

You should have interviewed her. Maybe you can get a hold of her people? I would have LOVED to read an interview with her from you. Maybe ask Scott Allie for contact info?

Seriously, someone needs to do unbiased, well reasearched and thought out interviews with these people. If not you, then who?
