My boyfriend...makes me want to...what's the word? Oh yes, scream.
SCREAM INCESSANTLY AT THE TOP OF MY BATTERED LUNGS UNTIL MY SKIN IS DISCOLORED TO AN UNIDENTIFIABLE HUE, MY EYES BULGE THEMSELVES OUT OF MY SKULL AND I START SPEWING BLOOD FROM MY MOUTH AND EARS.
Why?
he decided randomly the other night that he wanted another tattoo. With what money? Thats right, oooouuuur rent money. Well, money supposedly being saved for rent, as we're at this point doomed to sell our organs for freedom.
oh yes, and not just any tattoo. A large tattoo, of a bold and fiercesom tiger head. He was going to get it this weekend.
yesterday, he called me while i was at work. He told me he took the money out of the bank for the tattoo and he was going to the tattoo place, "to look". He calls me back an hour later, and asks me how long it would take me to get there. Why? Because he's getting this tattoo right then.
ahh yes, you can imagine how thrilled and excited i was. Oh, wait...i was more than mildly annoyed. I had to wait until i got off work, so he called me again as i was on my way out and asked how long i was going to be because "it was getting late and the guy wanted to get started."
this is the point where anybody who really gave a rats ass what i cared in the first place would have decided to wait until the weekend like previously decided, so their significant other would have a chance to see what was being permanently tattooed onto one's body. This is where i realize my boyfriend is apparently not normal. At least in this regard. When i get there, he's already in the chair, with the tattoo stenciled on, and beginning the outline.
i consider this a kick to the stomach, head, heart, and whatever other sensitive body part you can imagine. I understand it's his body, AND his money. What i don't understand is how he could do something so permanent, such a hugely significant change to his body, without caring what i thought. Without even waiting until i SAW it. Especially if he really knows me and cares about me. It's an indication that he doesn't consider me a part of his life as seriously as he says he does.
not only did he randomly decide on this tattoo and it's design, but he didn't put it on his shoulder like he told me he was going to, either. Where did he put it? On his forearm. The top of it. From wrist to elbow, the span of his entire forearm, is a tiger head.
Professionally speaking, my boyfriend will be a truck driver, or a plumber. You don't get hired for a great job for a great career opportunity for a great future with a tiger head snarling at every potential employer you manage to get an interview with.
How do i find amazing guys with no aspiration for the future AT ALL?
Will is by far the most amazing, with the biggest heart.. I just wish he wouldn't settle for so much less than he's capable of. It's frustrating, and hopeless.
