freebie money = happy little me
AT&T sent me a $200 gift card! I knew I was getting it...I just had to wait 30 days before I could actually get it sent to me. $100 for signing up with them and another $100 when they "inconvenienced" me by being half an hour late on the day they were coming over to install the cable. They notified me they were going to be late, but I didn't know about it until after the customer service people called and said "Hey! We're giving you free money because we were late!" Good enough for me!
Of course, this money is burning a hole in my pocket. Do I spend it on myself? Buy myself more work clothes? Workout clothes? Make-up? Massage? Then I thought....why not use that money for house stuff? As much as I like the color of my living room and 75% of the upstairs, I feel like with a dark brown couch, it's too dark and makes the room seem small. I'm thinking of painting it a brighter color, and painting the kitchen, and adding hardware to the kitchen cabinets, and getting a rug, and getting a console table and getting....other stuff. Now, the goal is to make this $200 go as far as possible, so I've been scouring my favorite DIY blog, Young House Love, to get some ideas. It's taking all my will power to keep myself from going out before the weekend to look for stuff! I think Saturday I'll be heading up to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore among trips to Petsmart and Home Depot. Can't miss puppy class!
