Jack had woken up in the very wee hours of Sunday morning.
Even with
Cedric's presence, he hadn't been able to get back to sleep. It wasn't just worrying about Sam - though the longer she was gone, the more it gnawed at him - he'd been lucky enought to add
Parker and
Isabel to the list.
As the room lightened, he'd eventually convinced Cedric to go back to his room, because he knew he was no sort of company. Then, for lack of anything better to do, he'd tidied Sam's room as best he could without disturbing anything, and was now lying in the middle of her freshly made bed. Staring at the ceiling. Again. He'd pretty much be staying where he was for the day. And possibly for tomorrow. He'd had
enough of other people's families to last him a lifetime.
As morning ticked past, the late night, the early morning, and the inactivity combined to send him into a restless doze.
[locked to Sam - it is her room after all! - and up early for timezone issues.]
