215: Tuesday Night
After leaving Sam, Jack had gone back to his room and called Captain Jack. Five minutes later he was packing, throwing a few things into a bag. He didn't have to head off just yet, so he flopped into the hammock and pushed off the wall with one foot to set it swinging.
Leaving Fandom for awhile, even with the promise he was breaking and the people he was going to miss, was making him feel lighter. He needed some time, some distance, from everything. Some space.
Especially after the last few days.
Shaking his head sharply to clear it of unwanted thoughts, he let himself drift in a half doze. It wasn't like he'd gotten any sleep last night, and - he grinned up at the ceiling - the day hadn't exactly been restful.
Several hours later, he glanced at the clock and realised it was time. Tumbling gracefully out of the hammock, he grabbed his pack, patted the plant, and locked the door behind him, whistling as he made his way out of the dorms.
