215: After Workshops

Jack was covered in pie.

Again.

He was having serious flashbacks to the day it had rained pie on him and only him.

This wasn't quite so bad, but it was still pie, and it was still on him, so he was in the shower, scrubbing whip cream out of his hair.

He was also singing, pretty much oblivious to the outside world.

Jack sighed and snuggled tighter around Cedric, pleasantly exhausted and still slightly damp. "I could learn to love pie," he muttered, kissing Cedric's temple.

"I could too," Cedric mumbled, smiling lazily.

"And showers?" he asked smugly.

[chasingsnitches]

"As long as there's no injuries involved," he said and smiled again.

"Nope, not a one." He stretched, as much as he could without actually letting go, and waggled his eyebrows at Cedric. "I'm just that good."

"And you're not getting it again right now," he teased. "You may be that good but I need to recover."

Jack made a pleased noise and shifted closer still. "This is good," he said, chuckling. "Like I said, everything's better with you."

"You just wish Sam was on the other side," Cedric said, smiling again and scooting closer.

"Maybe." Definitely. "Which reminds me, how do you feel about losing me for a week?"

"Losing you to what?" Cedric asked. "Don't say monsters or something like that."

"What? No." Jack pushed up on his elbow and kissed him. "Nothing like that. I thought I'd take Sam away for the week."

[chasingsnitches]

"Oh, right, the vacation," he said, nodding. "I'd miss you, of course, but you should go and spend time with her. Run up some mountains."

[anextimeagent]

"We are going to the mountains, but I'm not runnning up any of them." He paused, then added, "Unless I do something really stupid."

[chasingsnitches]

"Which might happen," he said and patted Jack's cheek.

Turning his head to kiss Cedric's palm, he grinned and closed his eyes. "No it won't."

"Don't jinx yourself," he said, smiling again.
