Alcina is the bomb. I love how Arkady plays/manipulates/bribes everyone else when he needs something done, but with Alcina, he actually treats her with respect and camaraderie. Probably because she'd whoop his ass if he tried any of his stunts on her.

It looks like it's true :( I shot off a short comment to Showcase, just in case viewer feedback might help. I'm not holding out much hope. There is a petition and facebook group (both linked through the wiki article).

Alcina really is amazing! You're right about the way Arkady treats her. She also treats him like a real person--she calls him on his bullshit, but she also defends his "good heart." Their relationship is fabulous. Considering their class differences/that she works for him, it's surprisingly non-skeevy, too.

Yes! I really do get the feeling that Arkady and Alcina are equals, despite his technical power over her. I remember a scene where they were just chilling together after a case, and it struck me that Arkady can't really do that with anyone else - the others are too young, or too antagonistic (HUGO), or he holds some measure of responsibility for them. With Alcina, they're both grown-ups who have had real adult lives and can speak together on the same level.

Love love love Alcina. Endgame is such a good show for female charcters.
