Brain Pain

Jun 13, 2006 11:42

I can't shake off the headaches I've been getting recently, all down to this horrid, muggy weather the north of England is having at the moment.

Of course, the pain is exacerbated by my continued inability to locate the 'off' switch in my brain. Excessive heat and constant over-thinking are not conducive to good thoughts and peaceful sleep.

I hope to god it cools down a bit by Sunday. I don't fancy being in the middle of huge, sweaty crowd for the majority of the day in ever-spiralling temperatures. And having to listen to the Strokes at the same time.

I still haven't heard from my tutors about my final mark for my degree, after getting my initial mark in March. But then again, this damned lecturer strike is probably the cause of that. I paid an exorbitant amount of cash to do that course, I want my degree dammit!

Today's fancypants words:

exacerbated,
conducive,
exorbitant

University education does have its benefits. You learn to use big, unneccessary words where smaller ones would do perfectly fine. You become more smartish, innit?
