Every 2 years our national classical FM radio stations runs a poll where people vote for bits of music. Last week they played the 100 most voted for bits of 20th century music.  Turns out Australians are very late romantic in their listening habits.  I don't necessarily subscribe to such things which end up being a Christmas marketing thing for ( Read more... )

Even though I bang on about classical music from time to time I have a soft spot for music of my teens (the 70s).  I really loved the Alan Parsons Project concept albums.  Partly because of mixed vocal / instrumental writing, really top draw production values and of course interesting album art.
