Did anyone save my newbie guide from before? I want to update it.

So, these "teevee" things suddenly started working, and while I'm not familiar with the technology here, I think it'd e best to see if there are any other programs or if there's a way to keep it on at all.

I've got some time to jot down a few notes, so I'm going to leave these here ( Read more... )

I see. I don't live in the apartments.

A television usually requires a broadcast source.

Interesting that they've been inactive for so long, and one suddenly appears. There are two possible explanations. The scientists created a broadcast through whatever methods they chose, which seems very possible. The question there, however, is electricity.

Then again, I'm not familiar with Discedo's level of technology. It could be far past that of my own timeline.

We didn't have television or communicators like this back home, so this is kind of new to me.

I need to talk to you.

We've tried before, but we need a better plan this time around. I'll keep you posted.

Poes are native to Hyrule. They are malevolent spirits that carry lanterns. They can only become corporeal at night and move through walls, so it would be easy for them to hide themselves in the apartments.

They aren't as dangerous as most other monsters, but they can certainly be a nuisance.

Great. Thanks for the information -- are they serious enough to warrant a team, or would a good smack with a pipe do the trick?

As long as you have a strong light source, they shouldn't bother you too much.

Wow, you don't even know what a TV is? I thought you'd left.

We don't have them where I come from. I thought someone as smart as you would have figured that out from that I said in my post! They brought me back.

Your world must be a total dump. I'm not surprised, since the people it spits out are, for example, you.

A TV is short for "television." It runs on electricity and you can use it for entertainment. News, fun stuff, whatever. Not too hard to figure out what they do, for most people.

So I'm guessing your world is pretty advanced. Given how lame you are, that has to be true -- with all of that technology to serve you, you'd never have to think on your own!
