(no subject)
I have a cold that I've been fighting since Thursday. It didn't help things any that we had a party on Saturday and spent a lot of time running around on Friday and Saturday preparing for it. I think that I wore myself out and that didn't really help a whole lot. A friend of ours who is around here a lot started getting sick the night before last. K has yet to get sick, but I'm waiting to see if it will hit him or not. Hopefully his immune system is strong enough to kick this one in the ass despite being bombarded with sick germs from me. The little one has not yet gotten sick. She's coughed a couple of times making me wonder if she was starting to catch it. But, that's it. I'm sure it's just the usual thing for her, innocuous non-sick reasons for coughing. I have been breastfeeding her more often than normal to try to give her an extra boost of immunity from the nifty germ-fighting cells in my breastmilk. So far so good. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that she doesn't get it. Right now I am convinced that the reason why she hasn't yet gotten sick is because she is an exclusively breastfed baby. Yea for breastmilk!!!!! =)
