After four months of searching, I think we've finally found a house!
We went to see it on a whim on Tuesday afternoon; we'd scheduled a viewing for another house in the neighborhood, and since we got there early, we took a few minutes to cruise around, and ended up picking up an info sheet for this house when we drove by. We managed to get in to see it, and it was the first house we've looked at that Dom loved on sight. The more we talked about it, the more we liked it, so we decided to make an offer on it -- but when our realtor called the listing agent, there was already another offer in for it. They agreed to wait for our offer, so we put one together today -- and it looks like we got it, :) The location isn't perfect -- it's in the gray area of where I'd prefer to be -- but it's close enough that I won't feel totally isolated, and the house itself is really nice, with a great yard on nearly a full acre; I'm kind of amazed that we found it on a whim, and for a really awesome price.
After the last two failed attempts to make offers on two other houses, I'm glad this one's come through; third time's a charm, I guess!
I had my follow up appointment with the breast surgeon today for an MRI -- looks like I've got at least three cysts in my left breast, but they're textbook benign cysts and I've been assured that they're not anything to worry about. I have the option of getting them drained, but considering how much I adore needles, I figure I can live with them, since they're harmless even if left alone, *wry look*. But yes -- health scare averted, :)
