a musical portrait of a mental state.

I have nothing of value to say, but I've had these songs stuck in my head for weeks.

I'm an invisible disaster, I keep trying to walk but my feet don't find the ground; It's like living in a bad dream, I keep trying to scream but my tongue has finally lost its sound -- - you know you make me a ghost.

Only cynicism can get through to you, expand the image, up the insults, negativism through and through; all of this pretending makes me feel a bit confused -- - you've spent your life losing yourself and now you're marked as used.

Heaven help me, I say I'm in love, I'm all in love with you; 'cause I can't help myself, I'm falling down, I'm falling hard for you -- - I don't wanna be by myself, I want you here, I want you here.

It was I; feel the sparks of the friendly fire, misery inspires; your throat has been cut several times before, never noticed the size of the flow; it can't be ignored -- - you said you believe it but believing won't fly, right before you hit your prime - -- that's where we feel in love but not the first time.

You know the games I play and the words I say when I want my own way; you know the lies I tell when you've gone through hell and I say I can't stay; you know how hard it can be to keep believing in me -- - but never doubt.

If you like, we could play a game; let's pretend that we are the same; but you will have to look much closer than you do, closer than you do; and I'm far too tired to stay here anymore -- - what if I'm the kindest demon, something you may not believe in?

Anyone with half a brain could spend their whole life howling in pain; because the dark is everywhere and Penny doesn't seem to care; that soon the dark in me is all that will remain -- - and I believe there's good in everybody's heart.
