Who wants cake?

As I may have mentioned around these parts before, Shaenon and I have written the lead story for this year's Marvel Holiday Special, which goes on sale at finer comic shops across the country on Wednesday, December 5.

The pre-order cut-off for the Marvel Holiday Special is next week, so please call or visit your local retailer (call 1-800-COMIC-BOOK if you don't know where your nearest comic shop is) and place an order by Wednesday.

Shaenon and I will be buying a few extra copies ourselves and will be able to sell signed copies through the mail to anyone who gets a hold of us before Wednesday, so check in with her at narbonic@sbcglobal.net if you're interested in that.

And just to whet your appetites (and give you an idea what happens when Shaenon and I write a Spider-Man/Wolverine Christmas Team-up), here's a non-spoiler panel illustrated by Lou Kang. Peter Parker's stuck downtown with a gigantic cake that he's transporting to Aunt May's Christmas party, and hilarity ensues:

Marvel Holiday Special 2007. Shaenon Garrity. Andrew Farago. Lou Kang. Spider-Man. Wolverine. Cake. What else do you need to know?
