This afternoon the mighty University Of York Men's Third Team beat the the puny University of Teeside 7-1.

I took part in the staff Olympics yesterday, representing Computer Science in the Badminton mixed doubles with Fiona Pollack. The overall results are given below, and we finished second in the Badminton.

eek! I've be asked to play for the University's Mixed B team today against one of the top sides in the whole of the local league.

I'm so going to get whooped :-)

Hurrah! I have been picked for probably the biggest game in the history of York Men's C's. It's Men's C versus Men's B!

It's my chance to show them that I should have been picked for the B team. I'll only be eating salad and drinking Lucozade today in order to hone my body into a finely tuned badminton machine.

Time to start psyching myself up...

Badminton was really great last night, I haven't played so well in ages - I nailed virtually every shot all night. Go me!
It's just a pity I can't play for the university tomorrow.

Still, rather than going Sheffield to play Badminton I get to go Nottingham to see British Sea Power with my brother - so that'll be very cool. Expect a gig review ( Read more... )

Get a bus to Sheffield Hallam sports center.
Get whooped 8-1.
Get a bus to the station.
Get a train back to York.
Get a bus back to the uni.

Not a fun afternoon.

And I have to do it all again in two weeks when we play Sheffield University.

I'm off to Sheffield tomorrow to play Sheffield Hallam 2nds at Badminton. Should be a lot of fun, provided we win of course :)

They lost 9-0 last week while we beat Hull 7-2 so the odds are in our favour...
