I had some friends of mine come to stay for the weekend. Old friends, the ones who almost know you too well for your own good. In response to my particular perspective on life, one of my friends said this to me...
If you were given a certain sum of money everyday from now on for the rest of your life, the only condition being that at the end of each day whatever unused portion is taken away. What would you do with the money? Simple right, you would spend it or at least give it away, you wouldn't knowingly just throw it away. Then she said now imagine you were given a certain amount of time in each day, and at the end of the day whatever unused portion of that time is thrown away and you have to start all over from scratch the next day. What would you do with the time? Again, simple, ultimately you would use it right. It seems simple enough, yet few live by it. That has stuck with me, almost a guilt thing I guess. But since she said that to me, I've being trying not to waste time (well, not doing so well right now, unless this counts, you know sharing my enlightenment and all)I've been waking up early and so far I've accomplished far more in one week then I probably normally do in a month, if not two or three.
