There's a movie that I am downloading at the moment called Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho which translated means "Beyond the Clouds, The Place Promised in our Early Days". It's directed by this visionary called Makoto Shinkai and he created a little 30-40 min movie called Hoshi no Koe, meaning "Voices of a Distant Star". Anyway he teams up with this other guy who nicknames himself Tenmon, and they're essentially quite alike to Hayao Miyazaki-Joe Hisaishi relationship, even to the point where Shinkai's movies and artwork is so simplified, it's the fact of shading, colour and overall atmosphere in that certain moment that make it leagues above everything else; accompanied by Tenmon's beautiful scores, it makes the films awesome.
So anyway, I'm downloading this guy's second movie.. his first movie that goes over 1 hour and I've heard very very high ratings from it so I am looking forward to it. Just to show my excitement over it, I wanted to showcase some stills from the movie so hope your bandwidth doesn't take too much of a battering ;) BTW, this guy has a huge fascination over clouds.
