Lestrade is one of my favourite characters to write, actually. Here's how I work with him.

Two words: Greek. Chorus. Lestrade is the type of guy who sees all the weird shit going on and raises an eyebrow. If Sherlock were the type of show to break the fourth wall, he'd be the one turning to the camera and asking the audience, "Do you believe this crap ( ... )

I never complain about people rambling! Especially since I do it often enough. ;) And it's always great to know other people views! Especially I love comparing notes with other peoples how they handle specific characters :D So it was a great read and I think I will be tempted with writing more Lestrade... Mycroft... Well, who am I kidding, every time I say I won't write him I end up doing just that. He's really bossy. And yeah, what you said sounds valid, but it still leaves me with the problem of his motivations. I mean, I always see him as someone who has no less then seven ulterior motives at play and I find it hard to keep track and think of all of those ( ... )
