03. Which character's POV you find the hardest?
Mycroft is complicated, because he's not only far more intelligent than I am, but he's also far too manipulative for me. He's a genius Slytherin, I'm a clumsy Hufflepuff. I always have problems with people who have ulterior motives, the more of them, the harder it gets.
I always feel I won't write Sally well enough. To be perfectly honest I have this problem with all female characters, but the strong and great ones especially.
John as I've mentioned feels and cares too much. I often claim one person can't feel so much at the same time or they'd explode. (Ron Weasley is my idol, where it comes to range of emotions.) I like John very much and i do tend to write his POV, I'd even like to think I can pull it off. (Especially depressed!John seems to be my speciality.) But it's always a tiring challenge.
However if I'd have to decide on who's the hardest to write for me, that's simple enough: Lestrade. As much as I love him, I don't get him. I'm currently writing a little project with him and am reading awfully lot about him and still I fight for every word with that guy. I don't get how he feels, how he behaves, what motivates him. Nothing. Blank page full of surprises.
Considering how he and Mycroft are so hard for me to write I should try writing Mystrade one of these days...
