Heading west!
This coming weekend, August 21st to August 23rd, I'll be guesting at ConVersion25 in Calgary, Alberta. It's the first time I've been back to Calgary since 1993 and I'm very much looking forward to the trip. The science fiction/fantasy community in Calgary was vibrant and involved and scary smart back then and I can't wait to see how it's evolved.
This is the convention's website --right here -- with information about location and programming and costs and other fun stuff. If you're in the neighbourhood -- and in that part of the country neighbourhoods cover some ground -- come on by, I'd love to see you. I'm personally thrilled that we'll be in the same neighbourhood (roughly) that THE ENCHANTMENT EMPORIUM uses.
And, if I'm not reason enough to drop by, you don't just get me! You also get to rub elbows with the amazing Terry Brooks, the indomitable Robert J. Sawyer and more local authors than you can shake a stick at!
