oh take me back to the start
Hey look, summer icon again!
I don't...really know why I'm posting on here anymore, as everyone/thing seems to be on tumblr/twitter(/dreamwidth) now, but while I still have links I want to collate I guess I'll put them here :)
BANDOM. HAS BEEN A THING. It started with me deciding to try podfic to pass the time on the train home for Easter and deciding that since porn was off the menu because ahahaha no, bandom should be the thing, so I found podfic of "The Sky-High City" and "An Emergency Of The Heart" because faaavourites, and "I Have Been All Things Unholy" even though it's like 4 hours long just cause, and while I discovered that podifc doesn't do half as much for me as reading text does (and therefore I might have to buy a Kindle type-thing in the near future), I was still swamped with feels because baaaaaandom, my forever homeeeee.
And thus I give to you:
- Joyful Girl, because someone on someone's flist was having a Pete-fic moment and JSHSJAHSKSHAKDHSHFKS BEST (also longtime-lurker writes the best everything pretty much)
- Ray Toro's new musics (the guitar solo is at the end :P) (it seems kind of...pointed? but hey probably I'm just reading into it too much)
- aaaand Gerard and Pete being dorks on twitter (Summer Of Like/summer '06 hollaaaa) and G recommending Patrick as the new Doctor. I hope there are sightings of him at his local FOB show, because like I like to believe when dudes say they'll be friends forever that it's actually true (see also: the LOTR cast). Also Frank totally recced G as the new Bladerunner comic writer or something, which is super adorbs. Also also Patrick's twitter is best. Just...best.
- and heeeeeeeyyy while I'm here: remember that SPN fanfilm I flailed about like two years ago where the Winchesters get turned into girls and also there are dragons because it's written by Naomi Novik? It's heeeeere and it's glorious and girl!Dean is hot and also a lesbian and I want to write ALL THE THINGS about how it changes the timeline but doesn't because the angels have A Plan and someone is going to break the First Seal even if it has to be Adam, sacrificing himself after his mom gets ~mysteriously killed~ because Michael is a dickbag who just wants the Apocalypse to get rolling already.
I ammmm...revising (a little) for my exams and mainlining Adventure Time, which tumblr informed me was awesome and was, once again, correct. The princess is mostly into science and gives no fucks about suitors! Jake gets to have an actual, perfectly functional relationship and sometimes his girlfriend busts in to save him from stuff! Finn is allowed to have feeeelings and cry about stuff and no one tries to say it makes him less heroic/manly! There is canon sexswap! Also zombies! Also it's post-apocalypse! Also Marceline('s voice actress) is hot and she and Bubblegum totes had a thing STFU writers just stop talking and let it be you will not convince me otherwise!
