Get Out review, with spoilers

BFF & I went to see Get Out tonight. I'll try not to spoil too much of the ending for you. (And you've probably seen enough trailers & interviews that I don't need to explain the basic premise of the movie, so I'll be skipping that). There are a lot of positives to this movie. But I think it's important to cover two negative, trigger warning issues first:

-At the end of the movie, there is a graphic suicide scene. I saw it coming & threw my hands up to avoid seeing most of it. But I still heard the sounds. I felt very sickened by the scene, even though I understood why that particular character ended their life. You might want to skip Get Out if that sounds a bit too much. And definitely don't bring young kids, please!
- There is a lot of graphic violence, bloody gore (not talking about a nose bleed), fighting & death before the suicide scene ever happens. Let's just say that if you see the characters raising their fists or about to cut something, it's going to be a lot worse than you're expecting. I literally felt like walking out to go throw up. I had to keep putting my hands up to block certain scenes. My bff loves really gross horror movie scenes, but even he was saying "Oh god, that's disgusting. Geez :X"

All of that aside, Get Out is a fantastic movie. It's well written. You will jump out of your seat & yell "Oh my god, that's fucked up" through out the whole film. [My favorite scene was Rose's dad silently doing finger signs at the big party; definitely pay attention during that moment!] I will be disappointed if Allison Williams & Daniel Kaluuya do not both receive awards for Get Out.

If you want me to completely spoil most of the movie for you, I will tell you which book that Get Out reminded me of:
