Updating because I feel like it
I feel in the mood to update though I don't have a terrible lot to say.
School is going fine. I am doing exceptionally well in a couple of classes and another one I am doing okay in. I have a change to bring up my grade next week. Spanish is kicking my ass. I am starting to go to my professor for extra help because I am not okay with anything below a B- (I prefer a B though) for my final grade. And I'm trying to prove to my roommate that I can get through this damn class, even if it kills me. Next week is going to be a bitch. I am so busy and booked and it's only Tuesday of the week before. I'm sure a lot more will come up before then. Now the work I'm used to is starting to pile on. You know, the kill-yourself-you're-so-stressed work. I'm thrilled. *Rolls eyes* I'm already extremely sleep-deprived and if I get sick, I swear I will lose it.
This weekend I'm going home. Last weekend would have been the perfect weekend to go home because I was bored and didn't have much to do for this week but Beth insisted upon my staying and I agreed. I'm trying to get ahead and do things for next week this week but I know I'll have to work at home. As long as I get a homemade meal and some rest, I'll be fine. I just need a break from the school environment.
My birthday is in two and a half weeks and it's awful to say, but I'm not that excited. Maybe it's because I'm stressed and have a lot to do before then. Or maybe it's because I am going to be 20 -- nothing special about turning 20. I think the biggest reason though is because this is the first birthday without my grandma and I'm still grieving over her death. I'm just not in the mood for celebrating. I'm hoping that will change as my birthday nears but I highly doubt it. Plus, everyone is busy that weekend with going out of town or the play so it's not like there is much time to celebrate. Whatever.
I have to take care of a work-related issue on Friday when I get into town. Lovely work screwed my over so I have to take care of it. It's been pissing me off this weekend. Supposedly one of the store team leaders and my PBS (guy who pays me) took care of it but I'm going in anyway to make sure the problem was correctly taken care of. Why do I have to worry about work during school? I shouldn't have to!
Anyway, I need to get some more things done. Hope to see some BR people this weekend.
