I was watching Family Guy, and Mayor Adam West was giving a speech about Joe. He solemly starts out with, "Today we are here to honor Joe Swanson for pulling my poor one eyed cat, Bootsy, out of the old stove-pipe of my grandmother's cabin." Then a nameless assistant hits him in the back of the head with a broom handle, and without missing a beat he switches to, ". . . for winning the special people's games."
Now, back to reality.
I got all my errands run today, which is good, except that for my troubles I got to ride around in 98 degree weather with no A/C and I got a lovely sunburn on my left arm despite trying not to stick my arm out the window to prevent exactly that.
BUT, I got to shop at Borders, which just about makes up for it. My initial reason for going was going was to pick up a copy of Dune that I could actually write in. That part was easy. The hard part was picking out a bargin book and a journal.
The journal I found could not have been more perfect for chronicalling my time with Sandra and Steven. It's a Good Karma journal.
The bargain book I picked up is The Encyclopedia of Assholes. Much fun.
I even got 20% off because the clerk who checked me out is a Dune fan.
Now, I am signing off because my attention span is almost rivaling that of my rats.
