Some rambling.

This will probably be long. Sorry.

So just about two weeks ago I started on the FLYlady way (www.flylady.net), and her first thing is to shine your sink. I have kept my sink pretty shiny since then. I think I've missed one day doing it.

Another of her suggestions is to fill the sink with hot soapy water and wash up while doing dinner. And to get dressed to the shoes (which I didn't do today). And to make yourself up. I don't put on makeup (the last time I wore make up was for my wedding almost 9 years ago), but I have been adding earrings to my dressing. It took a week before I could stop fighting my ears to get them in, if that tells you how long it's been since I've worn them.

Anyway: so Thursday, I sent my girls off to school and then took Taran to preschool. When I came home, Maggie was on the couch. She'd thrown up at school. And she continued to throw up anything we gave her. Thursday was my busiest day; I had all sorts of things going on. We had the missionaries over for dinner, a read in at the elementary school, and then the relief society birthday at church. I made soup for that. It was apparently pretty good. Well, by the time the missionaries came, Maggie was in really bad shape, and we'd called the Barbara Davis Center. They told us to take Maggie to the emergency room - so Scott did, and I left my kitchen a disaster and took the other two to the read in. The idea was to make it as normal for them as possible.

So I came home, put the kids to bed, and started on the kitchen. Well, I started on the kitchen before they went to bed. But here's the thing. The whole idea of filling the sink was inspired, because if I'd had the big pans to wash, too, I would have just given up. Instead, I filled the dishwasher, got it started, and washed the rest of the dishes.

By the time I was done, I was a lot calmer (and a phone call with Erin was huge, too). The thing was, I knew what to do, and where to call it done. Which was the BIG thing. Seriously. Maggie was only gone about three hours - I spent some time with both the other two making sure they understood that Maggie would be home and everything would be okay - and then I was out. Dead to the world about 30 minutes after she got home.

I am SO glad primrose_1 pointed me in that direction!

In other news, Script Frenzy is starting in April, and I'm thinking I might do it. I have some studying to do - like figuring out the characters and the plot, and the reason for it all. Yeah. Should be fun.

And, random question for any PR fans out there: is there any reason why Adam would know Tori, but not Blake? I wrote it for a crossover, so there must have been some cannon reason for it. He knew Kira (Kyra? from DinoThunder, I think...), too, but I figured that's because she was on Tommy's team....

Maybe I'll do that for this script frenzy thing. If I can figure out why that would be the case. And a few other things....

Oh, and I'm almost tempted to watch this year's Power Rangers; Maggie and I have been watching the series it came from (I know the blue and green rangers from other places: one of them was Fuji in Tenimyu - second cast, I think - and the other is a guitarist for my new favorite band). It would be interesting to see how they change it.

So, that's the random entry for today.... I hope to have something to post soon.

Hm... I could do Bumping Back as a script, too, right?
