Rollercoaster

I was going to post about how awesome Armageddon was and how surreal it was to see cast members of Serenity/Firefly and Stargate Atlantis, however certain events today have me a little flummoxed.

For the past three days I’ve been rollercoastering on a range of extreme ups and downs that have led to two hour long bitching sessions with girlfriends and dizzying bouts of happiness that included singing with buskers and giving away all my money to strange men handing out books on street corners. Friday was shite and Saturday was the best day this year HANDS DOWN-but then sometime in the AM of today I woke up extremely ill with an inflamed diaphragm that made every single inhale and exhale feel like a heart attack.

Then in a random bout of procrastination today (still hurting to breathe, btw) I decided to try and sell some artwork because I want money. Within an hour of emailing the art director over at ASIM she emailed me back asking if I’d like to submit a black and white so I could go on their list of ‘artists to commission for stuff’.

How many years have I been ranting about my passion being writing and art being just a hobby? Now, in a tragically humorous twist of events people seem willing to pay for art-and Goldfish is still getting rejections round after round.

As I pump my fist at the ceiling I’m not sure if I’ll cursing god or just giving a weak cheer.
