planet day

[and_off_we_go]

we met at the rec center today with CILC. each family chose a planet, found it's book and coordinating model, and did some research. then we went around the circle, each of the children/parent groups choosing interesting facts about their planet to share. fynn and clover chose jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system that has 63 moons! the most interesting thing that *i* learned was the one of jupiters moon, europa, is believed to have oceans beneath its icy surface. wow.

after the planet discussion was over the kids all got mats out and made forts and houses and ran around throwing airplanes. exercise and smiles!
