hello you may actually be my favourite person in the world, i posted that prompt and was like, "it would be so great if someone filled this but no one ever will" and LO IT IS HERE AND IT IS GLORIOUS. i cannot physically contain my joy, i am legit sitting here flailing like an octopus.

"I don't want them to stop worrying," Peeta says. "I want to give them something to worry about."
OMG PEETA

I don't care if you're 'only a figurehead,' Gale says, parroting his words, I'm not going to follow a revolutionary who can't even defend himself, and neither is anyone else
EXCUSE ME WHILE I FLAIL MY ARMS AROUND IN THE AIR. GALE!!!!!

-your lunch pail?" He demands. "Yeah, I'm definitely not apologizing. Are you crazy?"
BEST. DYNAMIC. EVER.

in what Peeta approvingly calls a good strategic move
fuck i love peeta, how fucking SMART and STRATEGIC and GLORIOUS he is.

"I'm not sorry, not really," Peeta says. "It's awful, some days, how glad I am that it was me."
EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURTS.

ugh i have all the feelings and they are all like SO SATISFIED you are the BEST *__*. i love the dynamic of gale and peeta's relationship, i love that they are equals and complementary and that katniss never leaves, that she's always important to both of them (even when it's not at all healthy) and i love how absolutely spot-on both characters are (and how i want to hug both of them, jfc). i really love the ways they get together, too, both times-- as revolutionaries and as ~lovers~ it feels organic, natural, inevitable and that's a really lovely thing to read.

THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG <33333

Hooray, I am so glad you liked it! And you left such a nice comment, ohmygosh.

(IMAGINE BLUSHING. THERE IS BLUSHING.)

It was such an incredible prompt I had to give it a shot, and I'm glad you don't think I wasted its potential, haha. I've never written Peeta/Gale before (or either Peeta or Gale individually, actually) so I was still trying to get a handle on their characters. Anywho, the upshot of all that waffling was: YAY, THANK YOU, I'M PSYCHED THAT YOU ENJOYED IT. ♥
