Totally Random Friday
I actually had to take a minute to remember which day of the week it is. It's good to be a lazy bum at home. I have this whole week off because of the company quasi-shutdown. It's gonna be hard to get back next week.
We made black beans and rice tonight with a side of garlicky shrimp and plantains. It kind of took me back to Costa Rica. If I only had a guanábana shake...
I'm writing a new website generator for AncientScripts because my last attempt kind of sucks (despite that's how the current site is generated). Yeah I know I could use one of the many widely available web-publishing tools (and some are very good and free too) but I got an addiction to coding and it helps with my Eclipse skills so what the hell.
More geek stuff...I'm starting to play with haxe, a new language that supposed can compile to Flash, JavaScript, PHP, and whatever else it has. I've been thinking of writing games for Alex but I *hate* Flash so having a better language that can bypass all that bad Flash development is a good deal for me.
And when Alex is older and wants a game, I'll just tell him to write it because I did!
