Saturday Night...
This November rocks. I got a new job, we got a new President who I actually voted for, and Les Stroud is back on TV. Yup, I'm a big fan of Survivorman, even though I'll probably never do any of the stuff he does. But at least theoretically I'll know how to build fires with twigs and make shelter with junk.
My father-in-law came today and added a barrier made of wood and foam next to the stove to prevent mice from invading the house. We can call the worthless exterminators to have them pick up their poison and we can have use of our counter again. I still need to seal some of the external holes, but right now we can breathe a sigh of relief.
I made a kickass pasta dish tonight. It was penne with spicy Italian sausage, mushrooms, and artichokes in a tomato sauce. I put in 1/3 of a head of garlic and I think it still needs more. Anyway, I made enough to save for a week night. It'll probably be resurrected as a baked pasta casserole dinner.
It just occurred to me that this is a completely random post. Oh well.
